Also called a Photofacial or Photorejuvenation, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a non-invasive procedure featured at our Mississauga clinic that improves sun damaged and aging skin. It leads to a refreshed appearance with brown spots, redness, fine wrinkles and enlarged pores being improved. The face, chest and hands are commonly treated by Dr. O’Neill and her staff.
How it works
IPL is a controlled light which penetrates the skin’s collagen layer. The light is customized to your specific skin condition and color. IPL is attracted to the red and brown discoloration in the skin, and it stimulates collagen production.
IPL Photorejuvenation treatments take about 30 minutes at our Mississauga clinic. Typically 5 treatments are suggested, at 3 weeks intervals to produce gradual improvement.
IPL improves skin color, texture and tone. Your skin will look smoother and refreshed, with softened fine lines and reduced pores.
Dr. O’Neill and her staff will suggest a skin care program including sun protection to maintain your renewed healthy and youthful appearance.
